Velma Eilene Miller, 89, Rossville, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2024, at the home of her son David. Velma was born August 3, 1934, to Chester and Martha (Laymen) Wolf in Stark County, Ohio. She married Kenneth L. Miller on March 3, 1951, at her parents’ home in Camden. Kenneth preceded her in death on August 3, 2015.
Velma was a homemaker who served her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, her husband, and her family with great passion. She loved spending time with her family and their many friends, often hosting events in her home. She enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, good food, and good friends. She often shared memories of good times spent with many of her cousins.
Velma is survived by her children, David and Becky (Reavis) Miller, Dennis and Barbara Wagoner, Bob and Beverly Knapp, Michael and Donetta (Stanley) Miller, Larry and Kristi (Mohler) Miller who all live in the Rossville area; 17 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; a sister, Beulah Brenneman; three brothers, Calvin (Rachel) Wolf, John (Shirley) Wolf, Maurice (Regina) Wolf; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her husband of 64 years, Velma was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, Homer Keith Brenneman; sister-in-law, Marie Wolf; sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Welk; and brother-in-law, Bill Welk.
Visitation will be held, Thursday, January 18, 2024, from 9am until the time of the service at 11am at Victory In Christ Fellowship in Flora. Greg Brenneman and Jason Miller will officiate.
