SGT. Terry Glen Howard Frye, 23, of Rossville, formerly of Frankfort, passed away Friday, November 14, 2025, in Boone County. He was born September 19, 2002, at St. Vincent Hospital in Frankfort to Jonathan Frye and Susan Stocker.

Terry was a graduate of Frankfort Senior High School in 2021. He was serving in the United States National Guard since March of 2020. He worked at Indian Motorcycle of Lafayette. He enjoyed spending time outdoors having target practice and shooting firearms with his uncle Ben and best friend Camden Cesar. He enjoyed playing video games with his son, and his true love was his family. He would often coordinate family game nights that would last all night and loved making memories around the dinner table having meals with them.

He believed in defending his country and his duty was to serve his country, community, friends and family, and joined the national guard to be able to protect his country at home. This was his heart’s purpose.

Along with his parents, Terry is survived by his son, Cassius Sylas Frye; fiancé, Leann Smith and her parents, James and Cassandra Cook; sisters, Emily (Timothy) Cothern, Lily Frye, and Ivy Frye; grandparents, Linda Frye and Alan David; Richard (Beverly) Stocker and Debra (Billy, Jr.) Woodcock; nieces, Isabella and Natalya; nephew, Alexander; uncles, Ben Stingley and Brian Glass; aunts, Juanita Moore and Karri Frye; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by a grandfather, Terry Glen Frye.

Visitation and service will be held Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 4-8pm, at Day & Genda Funeral home in Frankfort and Friday, November 21, from 10am until the time of the service at 11am at Frankfort First Church of the Nazarene. Pastor Kim Dewhurst will officiate. Burial will follow at Bunnell Cemetery. The town is welcome to line the streets and honor Terry on his way to the cemetery. A route will be posted closer to the service. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made in Terry’s honor to a scholarship being set up in his name through the Clinton County Community Foundation to honor hardworking, quiet high school students, the same as Terry was. Checks may be made to the Community Foundation with his name in the memo line. Messages of condolence may be left at www.dayandgenda.com.

In the final words of Terry to his brother in arms, “I will see you again in Valhalla.”
