Sandra "Jane" (Charles) Fish ,85, of Frankfort passed away peacefully on May 17 ,2025 with her loved ones by her side at Wesley Manor. Sandra was born in Clinton County Hospital, Frankfort, IN on January 23, 1940, to Harry W. and E. Irene (Huffer) Charles. She married Larry Fish, in 1962, and they divorced in 1991. They had two children, Rhonda and Larry Wayne II.

Sandra graduated in 1958, from Scircleville High School. She joined the Women's Air Force in 1958 through 1961. She worked for Rolland Sutton at the Frankfort Times; Goodyear Store; Joe's Supermarket; and several local restaurants. She worked for Purdue Printing Services (5 ½ years), and for Dr. David Parks (10 years), retiring in 2003. After retirement, she worked for Ruth Ann Salas Tax Services.

Sandra was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, since birth. She held offices in Ladies of Charity, Altar and Rosary Society, and in the Lafayette Diocese Ladies Society. She belonged to the Democrat Party and was the first precinct committee woman in the City of Frankfort.

She loved to read anything she could get her hands on, and work on puzzles, but loved being "Grams" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren more than anything. She loved attending all their activities and sporting events.

She is survived by daughter, Rhonda (Shawn) Fish-Johnston, and son, Larry W. (Tina) Fish, II, both of Frankfort. Grandchildren: Derek (Kelsey) Thompson, Greenwood; Chase (Jacki) Thompson, Blake (Lauren Crick) Thompson, Alexandra (Donny Wessell) Thompson, Jessi (Brandon) Horton , all of Frankfort, Matt Burkhalter, and Abigail Burkhalter, Lafayette. Great-grandchildren: Raelyn, Delaney, Kyson, Ramsey, Krew, Landry, Kollyns Thompson, and Kai Horton. Step-great-grandchildren: Riann Horton, Myles Burkhalter, Jaymon and Jayleigh Crick, Maddy, Dallas, and Deacon Wessell. Also survived by sister, Mary Robinson, Frankfort, and many nieces and nephews. Special niece, Jessica Datwyler, and daughter-in-law, Missy Morrison.

Proceeded in death by her parents, and siblings, Judy Charles, Bill Charles, Martha Charles Datwyler, Christopher Charles, James Charles and grandchildren, Amanda and Jacob Fish. The family would like to thank the Wesley Manor Staff and Guardian Angel Hospice for all their care and support.

Services will be Friday May 23, 2025 with visitation from 10A.M to 12 P.M at Day & Genda Funeral home, with funeral services to follow at St Mary's Catholic Church with Father Duquain officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Clinton County Humane Society or to the American Heart Association. Envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home. Messages of condolences may be left at dayandgenda.com.
