Richard Lee Campbell, Sr, formerly of 302 W. Kyger Street Frankfort, IN passed away on April 22, 2011 at St Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis, IN. Mr. Campbell was born on January 19, 1928
to the late Frank E. and Mable Krengle Campbell in Frankfort, IN.
He was a life long resident of Frankfort. He attended Frankfort High School and was a Merchant Marine then join the Marine Corps serving in WWII as a Sargent. Me is a member of the
Methodist Church and a former member of the Moose, American Legion, Eagles and VFW.
He married Freda May Gleason on April 3, 1946 and she passed on October 4, 2001.
He is survived by three daughters Sherry Marie Walters of Lebanon, Pamela (Husband Tom)
Martin of Lebanon and Melinda Campbell of Juneo, Alaska; one son Richard L. (Wife Nancy)Campbell, Jr of Frankfort. Two sisters Dorothy Marie Snyder of Frankfort and Betty D. Schroeder of Clinton, IA. Seven Grandchildren and 17 Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by
two brothers Edward and Harold and one sister Beverly and an infant daughter Maxine.
Services will be held at Genda Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 1:30 PM.
Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society.
