Ralph Lucas

Ralph Lucas, 81, of Frankfort, IN died at St. Vincent Hospital Indianapolis on Sunday, October 3, 2010. He was born on September 22, 1929 in Cutler, IN to parents Cyril & Lura (Cunningham) Lucas.

Ralph graduated from Cutler School in 1950. He was a Veteran of the Korean War. He worked for Niclel Plate Railroad as a yard man for 35 years. He was the Owner/Operator of Ralph's Restaurant for the past 15 years. He invested in and helped design Wildcat Golf Club. He purchased a farm in Boone County where he & his family lived for over 50 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 12, Masonic Lodge, Shriner's and past member of the Eagles and the Elks.

He married Barbara Sue Thomas on June 25, 1952, and she died in 2001.

Survivors include 2 Daughters - Cathy Jones & Mindy (Tom) Akers both of Frankfort, 4 Sisters - Rosemary Ward of West Lafayette, Jean (Jim) Cooper of Frankfort, Carol (Art) Stonbraker of Kokomo & Becky (Larry) Rogers of Frankfort,
Grandchildren - Connie (Dave) Pickard, Vickie (Craig) Timmons, Holly (Chuck) Dean, Jeremy Lucas, Leigh Ellis, Mandy Lane & Kelly Hardington, Tom Flora, whom he helped raise, from Norfolk, VA, Special Friend - Marilyn Beard and 9 Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife and 1 Brother, Roger.
