On August 15, 2024, Phyllis Ann Russell Peck, of Mulberry, went to be with the Lord, at Mulberry Health. She was born September 15,1946, in Lafayette to Bernard and Florence (Jackson) Russell. She married Brian C. Peck on December 3, 1965. He preceded her in death October 8, 2023.
She graduated from Lauramie High School in 1964. Phyllis and Brian went to Norfolk, VA where she made their home while he served his country in the Navy. After returning home they lived in the home where she was raised in Stockwell before moving to Mulberry. Phyllis was an aid at Clinton Prairie elementary school and a member of Trinity Church. She loved being with family traveling, shopping, going to the casino and playing cards. If you asked her, she would say her greatest achievement is her children, Chris (Rhonda) Peck and Sarah (Jimmy Frazier) Pickett.
Along with her children, Phyllis is survived by her brothers George (Marlene) Russell and Larry (Pat) Russell; grandchildren, Jackson, Alexa, Zach and Jameson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Nancy Brown, Carol Smith and Barbara McKinney; and brothers-in-law, Bob Brown, and Herman Smith.
Memorial visitation will be held, Saturday, August 24, 2024, from 10am until the time of the memorial service at 12pm at Trinity Church of Mulberry. Pastor Carolyn DeWitt will officiate. Day & Genda Funeral Home ~ Mulberry Chapel is assisting the family with the services. In lieu of flowers, the family ask the memorial contributions to be made to Mulberry Health.
