Lois Diane (Elkins) Latshaw

Lois Diane Latshaw, 79, of Rossville, passed away Monday, August 25, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born September 22, 1945, in Frankfort to Louis and Maxine (Walker) Elkins. She married Bob Latshaw on July 5, 1963. He preceded her in passing on March 9, 2012.

Lois was a graduate of Frankfort High School, class of 1963. She worked at Mallory Timers until the birth of their first child. She then took care of the home, her family, and helped on the farm. She had attended the Rossville Church of the Brethren, then Rossville Bible Fellowship, and lastly was Community Christian Church in Frankfort. She enjoyed fishing, traveling and taking a good road trip. But her passion was loving and caring for her family. She took care of many family members over her years, and she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She exemplified God’s love, and was always giving and caring for others. Her compassion and love will be missed by all those that experienced her.

Lois is survived by her children, Robin (David) Warren and Rodney Latshaw; sister, Vicki (Bill) Cleaver; and grandchildren, Jackie (Bryan) Smith, Justin (Rebecca) Warren, Joey Latshaw, Hannah Latshaw, and Jared Warren; seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; and a dear friend and neighbor, Susie Good.

Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Noah Latshaw; and great granddaughter, Lailah Wells.

Visitation will be held, Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 4-8pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home ~ Bodine Chapel. Funeral service will be held Friday, August 29, at 10:30am at the funeral home. Pastor Alan Weldy will officiate with burial following at Green Lawn Cemetery in Frankfort. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dementia Society of America or the American Diabetes Association.
