Linda D. Klaiber

Linda D. Klaiber, 75, of Rossville, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, December 5, 2021.  She was born October 25, 1946, in Lafayette, to Gordon and Lorrene (Woods) Strawsma.  She married Robert Klaiber on October 28, 1967, in Lafayette, and he survives.

Linda graduated from Southwestern High School in 1964 and worked for Ticen Survey Company, retiring in 1996 due to her health.  She had been a member of St. James Lutheran Church since 1967, was a member of the Rossville Home Economics Club, and enjoyed time with the Lunch Bunch and the Card Club.  Linda loved shopping and spending time with her daughter and visits with her grandsons.  She was a National Baton Twirling Champion and was recruited by Purdue University to be the Golden Girl.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Amy (David) Pierce of Michigan, two grandsons, Cade Robert Pierce and Brandt David Pierce, and her sister, Jackie Jessee of Fort Myers, Florida.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her son, Robert S. Klaiber.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 9, 2021, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Genda Funeral Home ~ Rossville Chapel and Friday, December 10, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to the start of the service at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Lutheran Church in Lafayette.  Pastor David French will officiate.  Burial will follow in Rossville Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Robert Scott Klaiber Foundation, c/o St. James Lutheran School, 800 Cincinnati Street, Lafayette, IN  47901.  Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
