Kenneth L. Peters

Kenneth L. Peters, 72 of Sedalia died on Wednesday, November 17, 2010, at 10:15 AM at Milner Community Health Care in Rossville.

Born June 7, 1938 in Rossville, he was the son of Maurice and  Pauline (Shipman)  Peters.

He was a 1956 graduate of Rossville High School and served in the US Air Force, stationed in Charleston Airforce Base.  He completed short tours in Antarctica, Greenland and New Zealand.  

On May 28, 1966 he married Ellen Beets in Geetingsville and she survivies.  He lived in Clinton County his whole life, grew up in Rossville and later settled in Sedalia.

He was employed by Landis & Gyr in Lafayette for 40 years retiring in 1999.  He was a member of Jehovah's Witness Congregation, Frankfort, IN.  He enjoyed bird watching and gardening.

Surviving are two daughters, Rebecca (husband Dave) Glasburn of Mulberry, and Michele Stephen of Flora,, two sisters, Pat (husband John) Argy of Sedalia, and Vicki (husband Mike) Rabanus of Sedalia, three grandchildren, Joel Glasburn, Colin Stephen and Kelli Olson and two great-grandchildren, Avien and Gracie.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Terry Peters.

Funeral service will be at 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 20, at Bodine Funeral Home, Rossville. Interment will be in Geetingsville Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 20, at Bodine Funeral Home, Rossville.

Memorial contributions may be sent to Humane Society of Clinton County.
