John King

Mulberry

John Burns King, 77, of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, formerly of Mulberry, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2024, at TriStar Summit Medical Center in Hermitage, Tennessee.  He was born January 23, 1947, in Logansport, Indiana to Delos King and Ruth Witter Burns King.  He married Beth Wedell on June 19, 1971, in Anderson.  She survives.

 

John was a graduate of Clinton Prairie High School.  He worked in management for Walgreens for 31 years until his retirement.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles.  

 

Along with his wife of 52 years, John is survived by his sons, Matthew and James (Leah) King, both of Tennessee; sister, Suzanne Vice; grandchildren, Nicholas, Aubrie, and Addie Lynn King; niece Tammy (Chuck Tedrick) Mischel; and nephew, Hank Vice.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents and son Ryan King.

 

Visitation will be held, Friday, April 26, 2024, from 12 to 2pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home ~ Mulberry Chapel.  A graveside service will follow at Fair Haven Cemetery.  Pastor Kevin Smith will officiate.  Messages of condolence may be left at www.dayandgenda.com
