Gregory A. Truscott

Gregory Allen Truscott, 50, of Greenfield, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 21, 2019, at his home.  He was born May 22, 1969, in Greenfield, to Richard “Dick” and Judy (Benefiel) Truscott; his parents survive.

In 1987, Greg graduated from Greenfield Central High School and then served in the United States Navy for three years.  He was a machine operator at Chrysler and enjoyed playing the guitar and bass and hunting.

In addition to his parents, Greg is survived by his brother, Rick (Julie) Truscott, of Greenfield; sister, Lisa (Ben) Rink, of Tolono, Ill.; two nieces, Caroline and Sarah; and nephew, Ryan.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, October 28, 2019, at Brandywine Community Church in Greenfield, from 10:00 a.m. to the start of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m.  A private inurnment will be held at a later date.  Memorials in Greg’s name may be made to Friends of Recovery Inc.  Arrangements are entrusted to Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, with online condolences directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
