Franklin (Rabbit) D. Hornsby

Franklin D. “Rabbit” Hornsby, 78, of Frankfort, passed away Saturday, February 29, 2020.  He was born May 28, 1941 in Rose Hill, VA to Thelmer Hornsby and Lois Hensley.  He married Elena “Lint” Montalvo in 1985.  She preceded him in death.  Rabbit was the owner of E & R Taxi service.  He could be seen around town driving his cab, and enjoyed meeting and talking to his passengers.

Frank is survived by his daughter, Brenda (Carl) Goodwin of Frankfort; 4 sisters, Analene, Dorothy, Della and Regina; two brothers, George and Marvin; three grandchildren, Johnny (Kimberley) Brock, Cassandra (William) Campbell, and Mindy Brock; and several great grandchildren.

Along with his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held, Thursday, March 5, 2020 from 11am until the time of the service at 1pm at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort.  Pastor John Hussey will officiate.  Burial will follow at Bunnell Cemetery.
