Eleanor Jean Coleman Davis

Eleanor J. (Rice) Coleman-Davis went to be home with Jesus 6-1-2011.

Eleanor was born 9-22-1920 to Robert & Ruth (Gephart) Rice in Hillsboro, IN. She was active in the Beard Community. She was a member of the Hopewell United Methodist Church, Sunday School Class, Golden Glow Club and the Beard Friendship Club.

Eleanor met and married the love of her Iife, Charles Clinton Coleman, on 9-5-36. After the death of Charlie, she later married Milo Davis in 1981. She worked for Wesley Manor and the Clinton County Hospital as a nurse's aide until her retirement.

She made her home with her son, Ronald, from 1998 until 2005 when she came to Mulberry Health and Retirement Community. She really enjoyed her life at the MHRC making new friendships and blessing others with her smile and warmth, always ready for any activity, musical or otherwise. Her favorite thing to do was play cards with family and friends almost every evening. She also enjoyed singing in the choir and playing chimes at MHRC.

She was a devoted wife and mother and is survived by Patricia J. Johnson (Lewisville, TX), Ronald R. Coleman ( Erilda) (Foley, AL), Clinton R. Coleman (Janice) (Key West, FL), Thomas C. Coleman (Karen), Anita L. Brant, Charles Davis (Alice) (Forest, IN), 1 Sister, Roberta Morris (Max) (Michigantown, IN), 1 Sister-in-law, Mildred Rice (Lafayette, IN)
1 Daughter-in-law, Pat Coleman. Eleanor is also survived by 15 Grandchildren; 29 Great Grandchildren; 4 Great Great Grandchildren

Preceding her in death were her husbands, Sons, Daniel & Gale Coleman, Step-Sons, Johnny & Dale Davis, 1 sister, Elizabeth Ogden & 1 brother, Robert Rice.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. We can count on seeing her again ""When We All Get to Heaven"" by accepting Jesus as your personal savior.

Services will be Mon., 6-6-11 at 1:00 PM at Genda Funeral Home with calling from 11:00-1:00.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hopewell United Methodist Church.
