Edwardo B. Martinez, 58, 307 S. Meridian St., Colfax, died at 2:20 a.m. July 1, 2011 in St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.
Mr. Martinez was born Dec. 9, 1952 in Valparaiso, Zacatecas, Mexico, to Felipe and Maria DeLaluz Bazan Martinez. He married Patti Castle on Oct. 4, 1994 and she survives.
He worked for Emerson Controls for 16 years in production assembly and also worked for NTK.
Surviving with his wife of Colfax are two sons, Alberto J. Martinez, Frankfort and Joseph E. Martinez, Colfax; one step-daughter, Trish Miller, Colfax; two step-sons, Rodney McDaniel, Peoria, Ill. and Bobby Hall, Frankfort; five sisters, Ma Isbel Martinez, Ana Martinez, Letcia Martinez, Mercedes Martinez and Maria Orgega; three brothers, Jacob Martinez, Memo Martinez and Felipe Martinez; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at Genda Funeral Home. Pastor Tim Walker and Father Chris Miller will officiate the services. Burial will occur in Plainview Cemetery. Calling will occur two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
