Diana Raya Sanchez

Diana Raya Sanchez, 37, of Frankfort, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2024, at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.  Diana was born august 31, 1986 in Los Angeles, CA to Ruben Sanchez and Hulda Bojorquez.  She married Juan Raya, September 6, 2013, and he survives.

She attended Frankfort Senior High School.  She worked for Securitas as a security guard.   She loved being a wife and a mother.  She enjoyed making memories with her family.  They would travel the country taking trips together.  She was known for being strong willed and strong minded.  She had a passion for collecting butterflies.  

Along with her husband of 10 years and her mother, Diana is survived by her children, Yareli Marquez Sanchez, Aylin Raya Sanchez, Karina Raya Sanchez, Adan Raya Sanchez, Magaly Raya Sanchez, Juan Raya Sanchez, Jr.; siblings, Evelin Sanchez, Nancy Bojorquez, and Bresned Morales.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Visitation will be held, Monday, February 19, 2024, from 11am until the time of the service at 1pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort.  Pastor Marcos Bautista will officiate.  Burial will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery.  Messages of condolence may be left at www.dayandgenda.com.  

Diana Raya Sánchez, de 37 años, de Frankfort, falleció el sábado 10 de febrero de 2024 en el Hospital IU Health Arnett en Lafayette. Diana nació el 31 de agosto de 1986 en Los Ángeles, California, hija de Rubén Sánchez y Hulda Bojórquez. Se casó con Juan Raya el 6 de septiembre del 2013 y él sobrevive. 

Asistió a la escuela secundaria Frankfort Senior High School. Trabajó para Securitas como guardia de seguridad. Le encantaba ser esposa y madre. Le gustaba crear recuerdos con su familia. Viajaban juntos por el país. Era conocida por ser de carácter fuerte y de mente fuerte. Le apasionaba coleccionar mariposas.
