David Welcome Pursifull

David Welcome Pursifull, 68, of Frankfort, passed away on Friday, June 18, 2021, in Frankfort. He was born on March 17, 1953, in Frankfort, to Roscoe Hartzell and Catherine B. (Shoemaker) Pursifull.  

David was a graduate of Clinton Central High School.  He worked at National Cigar Factory and then for Marsh Supermarket for 30 years.  For the past 3 years, he was working for the Salvation Army.  He was a kind, pleasant man who enjoyed riding horses and camping.  He loved his extended family and was the “favorite uncle”.       

David is survived by his sisters, Joy Stevens (husband, Patrick) of Cyclone and Shirley Siler (husband, Robert) of Frankfort, and several nieces and nephews. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, James V. Pursifull and Richard H. Pursifull. 

The family will be hosting a dinner at 1 p.m. prior to the memorial service which will begin at 3 p.m. on Friday, June 25, 2021, in the Community Life Center at the First Church of the Nazarene, 2056 E. Wabash St., Frankfort, IN  46041.  Pastor Larry Purvis will officiate.  Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Kirklin.  Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort is entrusted with the arrangements.

Memorial contributions in David’s honor may be made to the Salvation Army, 300 W. Washington St., Frankfort IN  46041.
