Barbara A. (McKee) Nulph

Barbara A. Nulph, 95, of Rossville, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Milner Community Health Care.  She was born February 20, 1929, in Kentland to James “Red” Lester and Alice (Fry) McKee.  She married Richard Gochenour in 1963, and he preceded her in death in 1985.  She then married Robert Nulph in 2008.  He preceded her in 2012.

Barbara was a 1947 graduate of Goodland High School.  She went on to work for United Telephone company in Brook and Kentland, and then Purdue National Bank and Dr. Green’s office in Rossville.  She was a member of the Rossville United Methodist Church, a 50-year member of Brook Lodge, the American Legion Woman’s Auxiliary, and Euchre Club of Rossville.  She enjoyed traveling, collecting Royal plates and cups, doing needlework, knitting and cross stitch.  

Barbara is survived by her children, Rick (Colleen) Gochenour of Rossville and Shana (Jeffrey) Bordner of Bringhurst; grandchildren, Dylan (Brooke) Gochenour, Mariah (Mason) Lester, Kayleigh (Jeffrey) Huth, Shania (Brody) Dearinger, and Jeffra (Jared) Miller; great grandchildren, Jace and Hayden Gochenour, Memphis and Maveryck Lester, Lakin and Dallas Miller, Annaleigh Dearinger; and sister-in-law, Patricia McKee.

Along with her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Evelyn Fleming and Dorothy McKee; and brothers, Lt. James Donald McKee and David McKee.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2024, from 10am until the time of the service at 12pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home ~ Bodine Chapel. Pastor Dan Fisher will officiate.  Burial will follow at Rossville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Barbara’s honor to the Rossville United Methodist Church.
