Alma May Osmun, 89 of Mulberry, died on Wednesday, October 27, 2010, at 5:30 AM at Mulberry Health & Retirement Community.
Born Wednesday, June 15, 1921 in Ross Township, Clinton County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Harry Edward and Lydia C. (Cottrell) Wagoner.
On July 20, 1940, she married clarence Edward Osmun north of Pettit, IN. He preceded her in death on December 11, 1978.
Alma grew up in the Rossville-Pettit area and moved to Mulberry in August, 1981. She worked for her parents in the family-owned Wagoner slaughter & Meat Processing Store near Pettit until 1966. Later she did housekeeping for area families, including the Frederick Hovde family in Lafayette.
She was a member of Middle Fork Old German Baptist Brethren Church.
Surviving are one son, Charles E. (wife Terri) Osmun of rural Crawfordsville, two daughters, Mildred A. (husband Jim) Tansey-Keaton of Mulberry, and Linda L. (husband Dewayne) Amstutz of Brownsville, IN, eleven grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 29 at Middle Fork Old German Baptist Brethren Church with the Home Brethren officiating. Interment will be in Northfork Old German Baptist Brethren Cemeter, Rossville, IN. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 28, at Bodine Funeral Home, Mulberry.
